We’ve been hard at work with updating the servers and the island to make improvements for large activity, and some polishing here and there. I’ll give you some idea on what the improvements are and why we made them happen.
I’m sure many have noticed that badges have changed on player cards now, they actually show multiple stripes, crazy, right?
The idea behind the different badge ranks is to show how active you are on the island. We wanted to also be fair for the new players that are joining us by making small gaps in between them rather than a large one like you would’ve been used to.
Have you noticed anything different with our hardcore version of Cart Surfer? Well, if you play with the game’s music muted then that is probably the reason why. The next time you’re attempting to climb up the leaderboard in-game, make sure to unmute your music to hear a different type of song to keep you entertained for hours.
We’re also aware of a bug that is making players lose connection sometimes with certain mini-games and we’re actively looking into it.
We’ve also been collecting some information from our support tickets and we’ve noticed a lot of players not being able to receive their reactivation emails. We investigated this further and we’ve come up with a solution to hopefully make it easier and less of a hassle. With a large player base, our support tickets can easily be overwhelmed so this should help ease the support crew and also ease you guys with the struggle.
With the reactivation update, we’ve also added some server improvements on players that had trouble connecting to the servers, and we’ve also made registration much easier and more clear on the activation page.
What do you think of these updates? Are you enjoying them? Let me know down in the comments below, I hope to also see you there on the island this Thursday for our meet-up with our special guest Screenhog.
Until then… Waddle on!
