This month we announced our HTML5 plan after a long time of development and our thoughts built into it.
Over the past few weeks, our developer (Gravix) for the HTML5 build has added plenty of things to the game that many are now aware of by now, this includes multiple mini-games, friends list, tips, and more!
These mini-games are both Puffle Roundup and Hydro Hopper, you can connect to the testing phase of the HTML5 client here.
Many bug fixes have been pushed out recently and that includes adding higher quality rooms to the client so it doesn’t look all blurry as some have mentioned, we’ve also cleaned up a lot of things and it should be even more smoother with waddling and much more.
As well as those fixes, we’ve been pushing the improvements to what players might see on the Flash client, this includes the Friends List section of the game. On the HTML5 client, you can now search for anyone on the island without even meeting them on the island, you also get a cool little friends request section you can view.
Now here’s a little sneak peek of what is also arriving on the HTML5 client. The improved igloo decorations we have been planning on adding for a long time now, it’s finally arriving and this will bring a lot of cool ways to do your igloo. Such as multiple igloo saves, igloo likes, and more!
I want to first get it out there that igloo likes will not be something that will be used as an advantage to get more players to visit your igloos, when we first mentioned the thoughts of igloo likes, many were worried it would be this way. We will only be adding igloo likes for the igloo creator to see, they will not be showing up on the igloo maps.
That’s all the updates I have for now, if you wish to learn more about what HTML5 is you can head on over to our previous blog post about this here.
Until then… Waddle on!
