Performance Tips For Our New Client!

It’s been super awesome to see you all testing the HTML5 alpha before it is public.
We’re almost ready to go live again with the main game where everything will be back to normal (as in you’ll be logging into using https://play.cprewritten.net)
The most important performance tip that players will find useful will be to turn their Hardware Acceleration on inside their browser they are using. I would recommend to go into their browser’s settings and then typing in ‘Hardware Acceleration’ and turning it on. Please search online on how to do this specifically with your browser in mind, it is important to be cautious when going inside settings.
Another performance tip would be to try using a different browser such as Microsoft Edge instead of Google Chrome (if you are having issues with Chrome). Unfortunately, Google Chrome blacklists old hardware and can make it rather laggy in-game if it is outdated.
If you wish to use Google Chrome, we’d recommend to enable the Override Software Rendering List in their about:flags section of their browser, again, you can also search up how to do this specifically with your browser in mind. Please only enable this as a last resort, also make sure that you have hardware enabled.
We are almost done transferring all eight million accounts, it is important to now be prepared with performance in mind. We are constantly working on tuning the performance for old computers, however, for the most part, it is running extremely smooth for many. Those that log in during our public launch will receive a limited edition pin for their playercards, thank you all for testing and joining us on this new journey of ours.

from what theyve said in the past, yes the water and snow dojos will be included unless confirmed otherwise.
Card-Jitsu Water will be introduced to Club Penguin Rewritten in 2021.
Card-Jitsu Snow is part of the modern Club Penguin so I highly doubt they will add it.
i don’t even know what the snow and water dojos are since i never played the og club penguin
but i would assume it is a low priority since there is a lot that is going on at the moment

Is the team going to continue working on optimization? I’ve noticed longer loading times between rooms, especially ones with a lot of people. Didn’t know if that was an inefficiency problem in the HTML5 code or just a hardware issue.
Excited to get back online, but take as much time as needed! The CPR staff have been doing an amazing job working on the game to ready it for 2021!

I hope everyone in the community is happy. The Club Penguin Rewritten team is doing everything to keep the game alive. Can you guys add a code at launch too? 2021SPACESQUID is the code. The code is for the Space squid costume.
because of the “removal” of flash (it wasn’t removed, they’ve simply stopped updating it), what do we do with the CPR chrome extension? and also, incredible job everyone working on the game!

When you said we could use Microsoft Edge instead of Google Chrome if it’s laggy, could we use Firefox instead of Edge?
Probably because they are ALL the best browsers but Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are Chromium based and Firefox is not.

It’s great to see improvements in the overall process, I’m looking forward for the results! 😀 I’m using a Windows 7 Laptop atm, and even if its Drives are outdated, I could still play games in it, even with low quality. Overall, it is best to play the game comfortable than constantly lag a lot. 😛
